Magnesium Flakes & Epsom Salts

There are two main types of magnesium flakes available on the market, Magnesium Chloride and Magnesium Sulphate, otherwise known as Epsom Salts.

Magnesium chloride is usually the more expensive of the two options and it is more easily absorbed by the body. When dissolved, you end up with one part magnesium and two parts chloride, which helps to balance electrolytes in the body. The other breaks down in to one part magnesium and one part sulphate, and some people with sensitive skin or small children can sometimes find the sulphate irritating.
