Abode laundry soaker is the power house laundry performer from Australian made and owned brand Abode. This natural cleaning range has been formulated specifically for people who have sensitivities and need to only use natural laundry products in their home.
The Abode laundry soaker comes in 2 different formulas. Unlike the laundry liquid and powder, it’s not scent that sets these two apart as they’re both unscented. This non-chlorine bleach is biodegradable, grey water safe and formulated to be used in both top and front load machines. Keep reading to find out what the difference is and which formula will suit you the best.
What’s in the Abode laundry soaker range?
The active ingredients in the two different soakers sets them apart. The High Performance Laundry Soaker from Abode uses algae based enzymes to help break down stubborn stains. While it’s completely natural, it can be a skin irritant to those who are sensitive, in the same way that bi-carb soda in natural deodorant can irritate some people’s pits. If you are sensitive, Sodium Lactate is used instead, which boosts the cleaning power of the sodium percarbonate found in both formulas.
Can you buy Abode Laundry Soaker in bulk?
Yes. We do sell the soakers in a 1kg tub (we don’t do this for the laundry powder) and also in a 4kg bucket. The old bulk size was 5kg but this changed in 2022/2023..
How much does it cost to ship bulk Abode laundry powder?
Please understand that from a business perspective, we would be much better off if we just didn’t sell these products. They are heavy, low cost and take up a lot of room in our warehouse. When the stock arrives, it’s like a workout at the gym for the staff to unpack them and put them away. They have the lowest profit of anything in our store and they’re some of the most popular products. Even with the freight charges we charge, we subsidise freight in our store and when you buy these bulk cleaning products, we don’t make any money on them. They are in the store because our store owner has chemical sensitivities and she understands just how important it is for families to be able to wash their clothes without their families reacting to synthetic ingredients. There is a limit of 10kg per order, so you can get 2 of these on an order, but not much else. They weigh close to 5kg each once packed. It’s almost impossible to qualify for free shipping with bulk cleaning products and we do understand that the freight on these is high, but it’s the only way we can afford to keep them on our shelves for those who really need them.
