What’s the best way to apply a hair mask?

Shampoo your hair as normal and use a hair mask in place of your regular conditioner. While your hair is still damp, apply a generous amount of product and work it through from the roots to the tips, using more product at the tips than at the roots.

How long should I leave a hair mask on for?

You will get the best results from leaving any hair mask or treatment on for as long as possible. A minimum 3 to 5 minutes is a great place to start. If you have time, wrap your hair up and leave it in for 30 minutes before rinsing. You’ll get a more intense moisture mask experience the longer you leave it on.

Should I buy a formulated hair mask or use a pure oil?

Did you know that many nourishing serums and oils for the face work wonders on your hair as well? DIY hair masks are as simple as choosing a suitable pure oil, and we have loads of them in store. From humble coconut oil or olive oil from your pantry through to castor oil, jojoba oil and argan oil, many core ingredients in our treatments do well just on their own if they’re already in your beauty bag.
