Choosing a water bottle might not be as simple as you think. You need to choose the size, what it's made from, is it insulated, what type of lid you want, can I tolerate plastic touching my water even in the lid, can I get a cover for it? The choices are endless.  Today, with the addition of a 1 litre glass water bottle (the largest glass bottle in store) from organic skin care specialists, Mukti Organics, we thought we'd line up all the larger water bottles in store and give you a run down on which bottles have which features.

ONE - Avanti 1 litre insulated stainless steel water bottle

Up until a few weeks ago, this stainless steel water bottle from Avanti only came in a 500ml size, which for most people just isn't big enough. It's vacuum insulated stainless steel and comes with a screw lid that's leakproof when closed. While the full interior of the bottle is stainless steel, the inside of the lid is bpa free plastic. TWO - Klean Kanteen 64oz / 1892ml single wall stainless steel water bottle

Klean Kanteen were literally the first company on the planet to make stainless steel water bottles and their quality is still a benchmark other brands follow. We have been stocking them since 2009, long before any Australian distributor had them. We were one of the first companies to import these in to Australia. This bottle is just a fraction under 2 litres in volume and can be converted to a 'no plastic touches my water' with the addition of the Klean Kanteen All Stainless Loop Cap or the Klean Kanteen Unibody Stainless Steel and Bamboo Cap


THREE - Avanti 1.5 litre insulated stainless steel water bottle

This bottle holds a unique place in the market. It's large, insulated and doesn't cost a fortune. Quality stainless steel products aren't cheap. FOUR - Cheeki 1.6 litre single wall stainless steel water bottle

This is the largest bottle in the Cheeki range. And while it's only a fraction larger, it's the same price but much more lightweight to carry around. The bonus with this bottle is that the inside of the lid is stainless steel, so there's no plastic touching your water.


FIVE - Mukti Biophotonic Miron Glass Water Bottle 1 litre

This is new to our store and the largest glass water bottle in our range. This bottle is made from the same glass they package their skin care products in. Miron glass blocks virtually visible light but lets through visible violet light, non visible UVA and infrared red. The non visible UVA retards the growth of bacteria and mould and keeps your water fresher for longer. Research has also shown that the violet light can change the molecular structure  and energy of the water inside if you leave it out in the sun. Some say it also improves the taste of the water. Whether  you choose to use it for this or just as a large pure glass bottle that looks stunning is totally up to you.


SIX - Enviro Products 2.2 litre bpa free water bottle

Now available in both blue and pink, this 2 litre water bottle is budget friendly, lightweight and has a carry handle built in to the side of the bottle. It is a miniature version of the water cooler bottles. We would like to remind people that they are a little fragile and if you drop it filled with water, there's a chance you'll break it. It's lightweight and plastic, but treat it like it's made of glass and you'll be fine. Also available in a larger 3.8 litre size (not pictured at the top of the page)


Bottles are all best washed by hand, but  you can put plain stainless steel bottles in a dishwasher. You'll find most of these are too large for the average dishwasher though. Visit our natural cleaning products aisle for natural alternatives.
