Wind Chimes - musically tuned

Wind chimes can give you the gift of calming sound in a gentle breeze, or with the wrong chimes, a poorly tuned mismatch of notes that don't go together that are far too loud. Over the years, our store owner has tested and rejected so many sets of wind chimes in garden stores that she stopped looking.

With the creation of our sister store, The Musical Sparrow, Joanne set about looking for wind chimes that are tuned as well as the musical instruments being sold, and we have found just that. You can create a space in your home or garden that's a pure sanctuary and a place for reflection and relaxation with our perfectly tuned bamboo & metal wind chimes.

We have taken each one outside and hung them in a tree so you can hear them out in nature with the rustling of branches and the birds chirping in harmony in the background. We also took them into the music studio and recorded them in a soundproof booth with a high end stereo microphone so you can hear their pure clarity. All the recordings are exclusive to these instruments. Other inferior chimes that look similar will not sound like this.

While you may be used to metal tubes clanging about, the tone and energy that comes from our wind chimes is a superior soothing tone. A bamboo cylinder holds nine delicate metal wind chimes that don't move inside. They are gently struck by a small acrylic disc for a subtle tone when struck by the gentle movement of a natural breeze.

Are your wind chimes for use indoors or outdoors?

Our bamboo wind chimes can be hung indoors or outdoors. Outside, they do need to be protected from the elements, so we recommend you keep them under cover, or if you want to hang your wind chimes out in the garden while you're meditating or outdoors for relaxation, bring them in when you're done. Your chimes come with two different pendulum bobs, one for use inside and one for outside. All our recordings are done with the outside pendulum bob.

How many notes are there in each chime?

The planet series of wind chimes have 9 notes in total. There are 5 different tunings and they all have their own energy to them. We recommend you listen to the recordings and see which one calms you, relaxes you, puts you in a good mood and sounds just perfect for you.

How noisy are your wind chimes?

They are a more gentle sound than most you'll find on the market. We know a lot of wind chimes can be annoying. We want them to be music to your ears and a source of balance and peace for you. Our recordings are up to 1 minute of constant movement so you can hear the song they play. Out in the real work in a gentle breeze, they won't make anywhere near that much noise. We shook tree branches and moved them around by hand in the music studio to get the maximum musicality out of them.
