The reason it works for 14 hours is the slow-release formulation. Extracts from mushrooms and algae form microscopic bubbles to keep the repellent on your skin, not soaked in to it.
Apply evenly over exposed skin, reapply after swimming or showering. Rinses off easily in water when you no longer need the protection. It is by far the mildest smelling mozzie repellent we've tried in a long time.
