Sunbutter Oceans have taken natural mineral sunscreen and make some ethical and eco changes which were the first of their kind in Australia while still producing a TGA approved product (AUSTL 314761). They did away with the plastic tube, swapping for a reusable tin, and made it without any animal products, so it's also vegan and naturally reef friendly as it doesn't use any chemical active ingredients.
The first launch of the product was mid 2019 and the formula was a little runny in the heat and the screw thread on the tin wasn't quite deep enough. For 2020, there's a new thicker formula that remains rich and buttery in the summer heat and the new tin has a deeper thread which is easier to open and close. ALL OUR STOCK is the new 2020 formula.
Sunbutter Oceans natural sunscreen has an official TGA rating of SPF50 with broad spectrum UVA and UVB coverage. It's easy to apply, rubs in clear and is suitable for sensitive skin, babies and also the face. The formula is non-aqueous, which means there's no water in it, making it longer lasting than water based products (the water is swapped out for MCT oil made from coconut oil.
