Beeswax Food Wraps

Beeswax wraps are an eco-friendly alternative to cling film that are fully biodegradable at end of life. They are made with a simple piece of cotton fabric soaked in a blend of beeswax, tree resin and other natural ingredients. While the internet is full of DIY options and cheap wraps, when the balance of beeswax and tree resin isn't correct, they are too stiff to work with and cracks appear too easily. When they crack and food gets trapped, they can't effectively be cleaned and must be discarded early.

Giving your beeswax wraps a refresh in a low oven is a great way to extend their life and you can add a little extra wax when you do this. Your wraps should last around 6-12 months if you're not constantly doing hard folds in the same place and you care for them well.
